Free Collections Terms & Conditions

A free collection service is available to all our customers who pay 8 weeks upfront for a 100 Sqft unit* or larger (including our half price deals) within a 10 mile distance of the store you have booked into. Free storage collections are offered subject to availability and are for the date your licence agreement commences only.

We offer a Free Collection Service for customers who:

  • Prepay for 8 weeks on a storage unit of 50 sq ft or larger (15 sq ft for Ellesmere Port & Rochdale).
  • Are located within 10 miles of the store you book with (based on the shortest route on Google Maps).
  • Book this service for the same day your storage starts.

How it works:

  • A £10 deposit is required to book.
  • You'll get a time slot for collection (subject to traffic delays).
  • The customer (or someone officially appointed) must be there to load the van* and sign paperwork at both pickup and drop-off.
  • If no one is there to unload, items may be left at your storage unit without liability for any loss or damage.

*This is not a full moving service. We only provide a van and driver.

Time Limits (excluding travel):

  • Up to 2 hours for units up to 150 sq ft
  • Up to 3 hours for units over 150 sq ft
  • Additional time is charged at £30/hour (in 15-minute increments)

You need to help load:

  • 2 people recommended for units under 150 sq ft
  • 3 people recommended for larger units

If items aren’t ready or helpers don’t show up, the pickup is cancelled, and your deposit is lost.

Appliances like fridges, washers, etc., must be clean, dry, and empty. Parking or meter charges during collection are your responsibility. You and the driver will sign a Free Collection Form to confirm the condition of your items and time taken. 

What You Can’t Store or We Won’t Collect:

  • Illegal, stolen, or dangerous goods
  • Pets, animals (dead or alive), or perishable food
  • Cash, jewelry, valuables
  • Flammable or toxic materials (e.g. gas, paint, ammo)
  • Anything with a strong smell or emitting fumes


Packing Reminder: Items like glass, fragile goods, etc. must be properly protected. If not, you'll need to sign a disclaimer, and we won’t be responsible for damage.

Ownership Confirmation:

By booking this service, you confirm:

  • The items are yours, or
  • You have permission from the owner You’ll be responsible for any claims if this isn’t true.

Our Liability (in case of damage/loss):

We’ll pay up to £15,000 if we're at fault, minus wear and tear.

We don’t cover:

  • ‘New for old’ replacement costs
  • Damage not caused by us
  • Indirect losses or extra costs
  • Any damage must be noted on the form before signing. If not, we won’t consider claims.

Cancellations: Cancel at least 48 hours in advance to avoid losing your deposit.
